The curved coffered ceiling in this 459-square-foot kitchen in Villanova, Pa., creates architectural interest where previously there was none. A dual-island layout featuring Crystal Cabinet Works cabinetry in two contrasting colors and a main cooking station, tucked into a corner, transforms what was once a bland space into a model of style and efficiency. The islands contain a bevy of amenities, including a Wolf downdraft cooktop and steamer, Miele dishwashers, plumbing and seating, to provide convenience in cleaning, prepping food and entertaining.
